Everyone knows Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, right? I sure hear this a lot, but I never seem to be hungry or have enough time to sit down and eat a nice, healthy breakfast every morning. This week, I have continued my search for better alternatives, and in doing so I swopped the skim milk in my cereal for Blue Diamond’s Almond Breeze Almond Milk. At first the idea of almond milk in my cereal seemed terrible, but I was pleasantly surprised to actually like this healthier alternative better than actual milk! Let me persuade you to why you should try almond milk: For one, almond milk has 50% more calcium than regular milk. Also, one serving is only 80 calories verses 149 calories in one serving of whole milk. Almond milk is free of dairy, soy, lactose, cholesterol, gluten, saturated fat, MSG, peanuts, casein, and eggs. It is vegan and also a great source of Vitamin A!
Typically, I drink Horizon Organic Skim milk with my cereal which is still another great alternative compared to Whole, 2%, 1%, or Reduced Fat milk. However, I strongly suggest giving a try the vanilla flavored almond milk because not only is it a healthier choice, but also super delicious!
